Dominic Armani Jones (born December 3, 1994), known as Lil Baby, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. Coming from a humble background, he once reportedly leans more towards a life of petty crime and street scrambling as his friends thrived in the music industry. In 2015, at the age of 19, Lil Baby spent two years in prison. When he was released in 2017, he began his rap career with a mixtape called ‘Perfect Timing’, released in April of the same year. The 25-year-old artist has become one of the most sought-after names ever since, and now, with the release of his second album ‘My Turn’, Lil Baby released a brand new collection for his 4 Pockets Full clothing line for Spring / Summer 2020. The new pieces consist of round neck shirts with a set of patterns printed on the front, plus hoodies which bring out the 4PF logo.
Lil baby has proven, it pays to have swag in business. Rap is arguably the most entrepreneurial genre of music. This means, if you have style, you are confident, but not arrogant, and you are entirely satisfied with your unique and exceptional glow, you’ve already learned the art of presence or ‘swagger’ in business, your walk and conversation. You don’t focus your mind-set on what other people think because you know you feel comfortable within yourself. When you are a confident person and conduct yourself in a manner that separates you from the rest of the crowd, that’s your swag and it is oftentimes good for your business. Some business practices we can learn from Lil Baby.
Success is usually a struggle
Rap is a competitive game, and in fact, it is very difficult to achieve success even with talent and hard work. It is important to realize that the rappers who signed a poster and were played on the radio are an incredible minority. So, they must have done the right thing to be in their positions.
Never give up on your hustle
Never let anyone else’s opinion of you determine, discourage, or try to talk down on you and never give up. Follow your passion and you’ll love what you can actually do!
Focused on originality
Lil Baby’s background, impacted by street politics and survival tactics, are the realities on which he stands. He has effectively mastered the art of taking hood facts and converting them into a booming million-dollar business.
The dressing can tell a lot about you. It pays to have swag; Lil baby owns a clothing line which he models himself called ‘4PocketsFull’ or 4PF. 4PF comes as a tight merchandise line of hoodies, tees, and bottoms customized with a series of Four Pockets Full graphics and logos. You can see it pays to have swag, in his song (MY DRIP HARDER THAN HARD) he talks about swag I must admit he got it.
